One tree planted

Giving back to nature

We acknowledge that selling furniture and lighting can never be 100% sustainable, but we want to make an extra effort for the environment. We have made a collaboration with the NGOs One Tree Planted, so every time one of our designs made from wood is sold, we are planting a tree.

Sustainable lifestyle

Durable quality materials

We always choose quality materials to ensure prolonged lifecycles of our designs, so you can lead a sustainable lifestyle with care for the environment.

Saving the world resources

Interchangeable elements

As the times change, the designs can change accordingly. Two years have passed, and suddenly you want leather on your dining chairs instead of velour, then simply interchange the velour with leather in a few minutes.

Same thing with our lounge chairs, cabinets, and other responsible designs. This means that you can add new life to the design and your interior without having to buy an entirely new furniture piece, saving the world resources.

versatility

Multifunctional & flexible

Why have a table lamp or a side table and not include a USB or wireless charger as well? Why not make room for storage where the space is vacant anyway? UMAGE not only answers these questions but make it happen.

One of the key aspects of the furniture and lighting designs at UMAGE is multiple functions and flexibility. Designing with more than one function in mind is a sustainable mindset as it reduces the number of products you need to buy to get a complete setting for your space.

Horizons project

100% recycled textiles

In our efforts to walk towards a more sustainable future, UMAGE has exchanged all existing textiles in our collection for a new 100% recycled and certified textile.

The Horizons fabrics are recycled from plastic waste and reused for a new purpose in the design of our comfortable chairs and charming cabinets at UMAGE.

Dunes Collection

Nordic Swan Ecolabel

The Dunes collection from Sørensen Leather is a part of our permanent upholstery collection for our lounge chairs and ottomans. The Dunes collection has received the Nordic Swan Ecolabel: A highly-respected certification verifying that it meets their rigorous requirements regarding the environment, use of energy and resources.

Nordic Ecolabelling works to reduce the environmental impact from production and consumption of goods with the aid of the Nordic Swan Ecolabel logo, making it easier for consumers to choose the environmentally best goods. The Nordic Swan Ecolab sets strict environmental requirements in all relevant phases of a product’s life cycle and strict requirements for chemicals used in eco-labeled products.

Sustainable feathers

Responsible Down Standard

At UMAGE we ensure that all Goose Feathers used for our Eos feather lamp collection is 100% sustainably sourced from farmland to end-consumer. All feathers are licensed with an RDS certification ensuring the well-being of animals in our production.

Eco-friendly Packaging

Flat-packed design and recyclable packaging

At UMAGE, the majority of designs are delivered flat-packed to your home. This approach allows us to utilise the space available during transportation, reducing the CO2 emissions for each design. Prioritising flat-packed designs means that most designs need to be assembled at home. This also means that most designs have interchangeable parts and spare parts, ensuring longevity for the designs. All designs are packed carefully with eco-friendly materials, eliminating foam and plastic waste. This commitment reflects our mission to minimise plastic waste when you choose an UMAGE design.

Repair & replace

Recycling parts

All designs can be separated into key elements for recycling, and worn parts can be replaced, to extend the life of the designs.
